OTTAWA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT 141: Excess Heat- Early Release on THURSDAY, MAY, 31st

Ottawa Elementary School District 141 issued the following announcement on May 30.

Due to the predicted excess heat on Thursday, May 31st school will be released early.

11:30 a.m. Dismissal - Central, Jefferson, Lincoln and McKinley

12:10 p.m. Dismissal - Shepherd

NO PM Preschool at Lincoln

SCHOOL BOARD VACANCY

Ottawa Elementary School District #141 is seeking a School Board Member. The School District is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Kurt Stevenson. The individual selected will serve on the School Board from the date of appointment until the April 2019 School Board election. The School District's Mission Statement is; "Our community is committed to quality education provided by the Ottawa Elementary School District for all children in a positive and inviting environment that empowers students to become diverse and global lifelong learners." To apply a letter/resume with your background and reasons of interest for being seated on the School Board is required. Please send or drop off your information addressed to Mr. Cleve Threadgill at the District Office, located at 320 W. Main Street, Ottawa, IL 61350. Letters of interest will be accepted no later than June 1, 2018.

CALENDAR REVISION

Please note that with any school cancellations our yearly calendar will change! Currently changes are:

Wednesday, May 30 is a FULL DAY of student attendance.

Thursday, May 31 is a FULL DAY of student attendance.

Friday, June 1st is a FULL DAY of student attendance.

Monday, June 4th will be the LAST DAY of school with a half day of student attendance.
