Osf St. Elizabeth Hospital issued the following announcement on June 7.
OSF HealthCare Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac is taking applications for several volunteer positions.
Volunteers are needed to push patients in wheelchairs to appointments within the medical center and to their cars following discharge; to deliver and pick up mail throughout the medical center; and to deliver flowers to patients. Shifts are 8 a.m. to noon and noon to 4 p.m. Days of the week can vary depending on the volunteer’s schedule.
Volunteers receive a free meal on the day they volunteer.
