City of Princeton Citizens Electric Utility Advisory Committee met May 8. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:

The May 8, 2018 was called to at 8:00 AM by president, Michael Sullivan.

Present at this time was Michael Sullivan, Bob Davidson, Kent Harmon, and

Kay Wallace. Matt Keutzer entered the meeting at 8:20 AM. Jeff Mangrich

was also present.

Kent Harmon made the motion to accept the minutes from the April 10,

2018 meeting as presented with Bob Davidson making the second.

The committee had a discussion regarding the electric rate increase that

was approved by the City Council. This rate increase will take effect on the

May 15, 2018 billing. The committee will still need to decide on their

recommendation for the power cost adjustment.

It was decided that there would be a sign in sheet for the LED bulb give

away. Each household would be able to have 3 bulbs.

More discussion was had regarding the use of solar panels as other means

of utilities for businesses and residents of Princeton. Jeff will provide us

with more information at the next meeting. They are thinking that bidirectional

meteors will be the direction to go regarding the billing.

Bob Davidson continues to work on the information regarding the rate

study to help the committee make their decision for future rate increases.

A copy of the 18/19 budget was presented and discussed. It was noted that

this budget was not final.
