Manlius Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2017 - 33.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Manlius included 14 fires - five structure fires, four vehicle fires and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $45,000 in fire loss - or about $3,214 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

The Manlius Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $73,201 in 2017.
