Tiskilwa Rural Fire Protection District responded to 14 calls in 2017 - 36.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Tiskilwa Rural included 12 fires - seven structure fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $50,600 in fire loss - or about $4,217 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.
