Wyanet Fire Protection District responded to 10 calls in 2017 - 42.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Wyanet included nine fires - two structure fires, one vehicle fire and six other fires.

In all, the department saw $30,000 in fire loss - or about $3,333 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Wyanet Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $216,802 in 2017.
