Sheridan Fire Protection District responded to 14 calls in 2017 - 26.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Sheridan included 10 fires - three structure fires, five vehicle fires and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $14,300 in fire loss - or about $1,430 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.

The Sheridan Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $456,154 in 2017.
