City of Ottawa Historic Preservation Commission met May 10.
Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:
Present: Farley Andrews, George Cary, Lorraine McCallister, Mollie Perrot, Chris Hasty
Earl Lecki, Mayor, Tami Huftel
Absent: Paul Havelka, David Rabideau

Colonnade. Starting soon.
Armory Foundation. Need a location, Ottawa Avenue and Kiwanis Park were discussed. Mayor
suggested a press release asking for a benefactor. Need a cost estimate. Earl will talk with Steve
Conrad.
Sundial. Earl reported after the colonnade project (about a month), project should start. Mayor will
Larry know about the project. (Larry is ok with the project)
Brick Street Master Plan. Mayor reported Army Corp is requiring a mitigation project to be included
with the Canal Re-Watering. They suggested a Brick Street Inventory and Preservation Plan. This plan
would prioritize the streets. The committee will take on the plan.
