According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 418 students during the year. That equates to 25.6 percent of the 1,633 students enrolled.
Of the 367 in-school suspensions, 267 were given to boys and 100 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 334 incidents. There were 32 incidents of violence without physical injury. For 221 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Of the 51 out-of-school suspensions, 41 were given to boys and 10 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.
