Here is the agenda provided by the Board:

Notice is hereby provided that the LaSalle Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the LaSalle City Council Chambers at 745 Second Street, LaSalle, Illinois 61301. At that time, the LaSalle Zoning Board of Appeals will consider a petition and request of Megan Haynes requesting variances and/or exceptions from the provisions of the City of LaSalle Zoning Ordinance originally enacted as Ordinance Number 590 as the said Ordinance may have from time to time been amended, and in that regard said request for variance shall be regarding construction and use of a garage which would include, but not necessarily be limited to, a front yard setback variance from 25 feet to 5 feet and a rear yard variance from 25 feet to 0 feet to allow the structure to be constructed at the subject premises, and further involving such other variances and/or exceptions as may be reasonable, necessary and appropriate in reference to the construction of an accessory building on premises commonly known as 1732 Zinc Street within the City of LaSalle, which premises are more particularly described as follows:

That part of Lots One (1) and Two (2) in Keese’s Subdivision of the North Half of the East Half of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 10 in Township 33 North, Range 1 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing a the Northwest corner of said Lot 2, thence running East 77.4 feet to the right-of-way of the La Salle and Bureau County Railroad; thence running Southeasterly along said rightof-way 32.3 feet; thence running West 99 feet to the East line of Zinc Street, and thence North 24 feet to the place of beginning; AND a triangular piece of land in the Southwest corner of said Lot 1 described as follows: Commencing at a point on the East line of Zinc Street at its intersection of the West line of the right-of-way of the La Salle and Bureau County Railroad; thence running Southeasterly along said right-of-way 115.7 feet to the South line of said Lot 1; thence running West 77.4 feet to the East line of Zinc Street, and thence running North 86 feet on the East line of Zinc Street to the Place of Beginning, as per plat thereof dated 1 December 1876, and recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of La Salle County, Illinois, in Book “B” of Plats at Page 63, all of the aforesaid real estate situated in the City of La Salle, County of La Salle and State of Illinois, EXCEPT the coal and minerals and the right to mine and remove the same. That additionally, for informational purposes the real estate PIN # is 18-10-404-006.

That in connection with these proceedings and the public hearings in connection therewith, the City of LaSalle Zoning Board of Appeals may take such action and make such findings and recommendations as the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of LaSalle may deem appropriate in the circumstances for recommendation and/or consideration thereof by the City Council in the appropriate exercise and discretion of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of LaSalle, including making recommendations in connection with any modification to any of said requests as the Zoning Board of Appeals may deem appropriate in the circumstances, all of which may be subject to and contingent upon such further covenants, terms, provisions and restrictions as the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of LaSalle may deem appropriate in the circumstances at the time of said Zoning Board of Appeals hearing and/or any continuance and/or reconvening of the same, all of which will be held pursuant to and consistent with the law in such cases including, but not being limited to, all parties being provided an opportunity to be heard and to examine and cross-examine all pertinent witnesses.
