City of Marseilles issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.
The City of Marseilles in partnership with our good neighbor Nucor Tubular Products (Independence Tube) are sponsoring an E-Waste Event on Saturday, October 13th 2018 at 1201 Broadway Street from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. This event is for Marseilles Residents only and proof of residency will be required. The following is a list of what will and won’t be accepted.
What will be accepted:
• Toasters, microwaves, VCR and other metal housed household products
• flat screen monitors can be palletized separately from flat screen TVs
• NiCad, lithium ion, rechargeable batteries, cell phone batteries
• Keyboards and mice
• Printers and other peripherals
What can’t be accepted:
• No CRTS (Cathode Ray Tube)
• No Alkaline batteries
• No broken glass monitors / flat screens
