City of Oglesby issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.
Oglesby's Harvest Fest is a one-day family-friendly celebration of all things Fall. Start the day shopping our Harvest Marketplace, with more than 40 craft and vendor booths. Watch chalk artist Shaun Hayes create a scene from Harry Potter starting around 9 a.m. near City Hall. Sit a spell and listen to the music of Steve & Steve while enjoying a pork tenderloin sandwich from Flo's on Pulaski's while participants from the Sorcerer's Scramble scamper around town. For those who like their challenges more mental than physical, the Mobile Escape Room returns. Groups of 12 are "locked" inside the City of Justopolus' crime-fighting command center and must solve a series of clues to combat the Evil League of Doom from destroying the city. At 3 p.m., the children's costume parade starts, with trick or treating at downtown businesses afterwards. The action then moves to Senica Square. A bonfire with hot dogs and s'mores, a petting zoo, pony rides, magician, face painters and fall themed arts & crafts await parents and their children for a minimal fee of $3 per person or $10 per family.
