Putnam County was not in favor of corporate tax rate increase on Nov. 6 ballot.
Taxpayers in Putnam County voted against a referendum calling for Putnam County Proposition to increase the corporate tax rate. "Shall the current corporate tax rate of .37% be increased by .3% to a rate of .67%, which will be levied on the equalized assessed valuation of the taxable property in Putnam County, State of Illinois?".
With 100% percent of the votes counted, the Corporate Tax Rate Proposition had 620 votes in favor and 1,882 against.
