State House race: Democrat Freeman wins voter tally in Wheatland Township

Mica Freeman led Republican Mark Batinick in votes cast in Wheatland Township for the District 97 state House race, according to the latest vote count.

Freeman appeared to outpace Batinick by a margin of 2.3 percent on Tuesday in the township.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Mark Batinick, won by a margin of 20.9 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Moira K. Dunn, who received 3,026 votes to Batinick's 4,621.
