City of Oglesby issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.
We're hoping for a "Green" Christmas in Oglesby! Join us Saturday, Dec. 1, as Oglesby transforms into Dr. Suess' Whoville for a day. Carriage rides, elf-assisted shopping for kids, a Cheer Chair race, caroling, arts and crafts, refreshments, photo ops with The Grinch and Mayor, Santa visits, a live nativity, face painting, Cindy Lou Who look alike contest, caroling, chili cookoff and more packed into just 2 short hours.
