Report: Princeton spent $13,431 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Princeton High School District 500 is up 6.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $12,572 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,431 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 518 to 531.

Princeton's spending in 2017-18 was 0.7 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
