Report: Marseilles spent $10,864 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Marseilles Elementary School District 150 is up 7.1 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $10,140 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,864 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 607 to 535.

Marseilles's spending in 2017-18 was 18.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
