Report: Minooka spent $8,585 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Minooka Community Consolidated School District 201 is up 4.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $8,195 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,585 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4167 to 4691.

Minooka's spending in 2017-18 was 35.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
