Report: Leland spent $12,692 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Leland Community Unit School District 1 is down 1.6 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $12,893 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,692 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 278 to 259.

Leland's spending in 2017-18 was 4.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
