Report: Waltham spent $11,454 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Waltham Community Consolidated School District 185 is up 26.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $9,042 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,454 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 234 to 227.

Waltham's spending in 2017-18 was 14.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
