Report: Depue spent $9,061 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Depue Unit School District 103 is down 20 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $11,330 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,061 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 471 to 429.

Depue's spending in 2017-18 was 32.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
