Report: Earlville spent $11,408 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Earlville Community Unit School District 9 is up 8.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $10,489 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,408 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 428 to 413.

Earlville's spending in 2017-18 was 14.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
