Report: Saratoga spent $7,360 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Saratoga Community Consolidated School District 60C is down 5 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $7,748 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $7,360 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 777 to 805.

Saratoga's spending in 2017-18 was 44.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
