Report: Seneca spent $25,549 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Seneca Township High School District 160 is up 11.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $22,828 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $25,549 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 463 to 462.

Seneca's spending in 2017-18 was 91.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
