Report: Streator spent $12,998 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Streator Township High School District 40 is down 1.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $13,226 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,998 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 920 to 882.

Streator's spending in 2017-18 was 2.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
