Report: Gardner S Wilmington spent $19,269 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Gardner S Wilmington Township High School District 73 is up 12.1 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $17,191 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $19,269 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 192 to 185.

Gardner S Wilmington's spending in 2017-18 was 44.5 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
