Analysis: Streator administrators rank 213rd in state for average pay

Administrators in Streator Township High School District 40 earn an average of $111,222 per year, ranking 213rd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 10.6% higher than in 2014 and 16% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 3.7% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The La Salle County school district enrolled 882 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 170 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
