Analysis: Ohio administrators rank 335th in state for average pay

Administrators in Ohio Community High School District 505 earn an average of $103,853 per year, ranking 335th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 10.9% higher than in 2014 and 32.5% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 3.2% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Bureau County school district enrolled 35 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 35 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
