Analysis: Coal City administrators rank 337th in state for average pay

The 2018 average is 9.1% higher than in 2014 and 0.1% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 3.3% less than the state average of $107,279.
Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.
The Grundy County school district enrolled 2230 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 186 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
