Administrators in Coal City Community Unit School District 1 earn an average of $103,777 per year, ranking 337th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 9.1% higher than in 2014 and 0.1% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 3.3% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.
