Illinois Valley Community Hospital issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
At Illinois Valley Community Hospital we are implementing temporary visitor restrictions at the hospital effective immediately due to widespread influenza activity in our area. This will help to control the spread of illness among patients and staff. IVCH is restricting visitors to only those over the age of 18 years. We also ask patients have no more than 2 visitors at any given time. We appreciate your cooperation in protecting the health and safety of our patients and employees.
