Unpaid fines for Ottawa-based campaign committees totaled $6,575 in August 2018

Campaign committees in Ottawa collectively owe a total of $6,575 in fines, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that two committees in Ottawa were delinquent in payment for August 2018.

The Ottawa-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was 1 Cent for Children of LaSalle County Schools, which owes a total of $6,250.

The largest fine that 1 Cent for Children of LaSalle County Schools has yet to pay was imposed on Sept. 2, 2016, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $3,150.

The following table lists all campaign committees in Ottawa owing unpaid fines in August 2018, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections:
