The price of local government in 2017: City of Mendota

The City of Mendota budget was $12.54 million for its 2017 fiscal year, or $4,397 per household.

That's a decrease of 24.1 percent from 2016, when the city spent $16.53 million, or $5,797 per household.

Mendota has 2,852 households and a population of 7,373.

Since 2001, the City of Mendota budget has fallen by 30.9 percent, from $18.16 million. The city population has grown 1.4 percent over the same period, from 7,272.
