Coal City (Grundy County) home prices fall in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Coal City in Grundy County fell by $12,000 while total sales increased by 19.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 31 homes sold, with a median sale price of $137,000 - a 8.1% decrease over the $149,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 26 homes sold in Coal City in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Coal City for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,223, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
