Sheridan home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Sheridan rose by $15,050 while total sales increased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 40 homes sold, with a median sale price of $185,000 - a 8.9% increase over the $169,950 median sale price for the previous year. There were 32 homes sold in Sheridan in 2016.

The median sales tax in Sheridan for 2017 was $3,375. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,315. This marks an increase of 1.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
