Ottawa home prices rise in January 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2019 in Ottawa rose by $54,500 while total sales decreased by 86.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2019, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $152,500 - a 55.6% increase over the $98,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Ottawa in January 2018.

The median sales tax in Ottawa for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,169, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for January 2019.
