Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby provided of a public hearing that will take place on the 11th day of June, 2019, before the City of LaSalle Planning Commission at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 745 Second Street, LaSalle, Illinois, concerning the following matters and matters related thereto:

Consideration of the request of Carus Corporation, located at 1500 8th Street, La Salle, Illinois, for rezoning of certain premises, in the event and upon vacation of that portion of the alley being commonly described as the southwest corner of the alley diamond and the alley ROW from La Harpe Street to the alley diamond (approx. 0.085 acres) from R-3, Two Family Residence to C-3, Central Business for the purpose amongst other things of establishing consistent zoning for the property, as well as the potential future construction of an employee parking lot and related uses. The premises are more particularly described as:

Part of the alley in Block 27 in the Original Town, now City of La Salle, La Salle County, Illinois, described as follows:

Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot 6 in said Block 27; thence Easterly 40 feet on the Easterly extension of the South Line of said Lot 6; thence Southerly, parallel with the West Line of Lot 8 in said Block 27 to the North Line of Lot 12 in said Block 27; thence Westerly on the North Line of Lots 12 and 11 in said Block 27 to the Southeast Corner of Lot 9 in said Block 27; thence Northerly on the East Line of said Lot 9 to the Northeast Corner of Said Lot 9; thence Westerly on the North Line of said Lot 9 to the Northwest Corner of said Lot 9; thence Northerly on the West Line of said Block 27 to the Southwest Corner of said Lot 6; thence Easterly on the South Line of said Lot 6 to the Point of Beginning, containing 0.085 acres, more or less.

Consideration of the further request of Carus Corporation located at 1500 8th Street, La Salle, Illinois for the rezoning of Lot 9 commonly known as 826 La Harpe Street, La Salle, Illinois, the south half of Lot 10 commonly known as 1201 8th Street, La Salle, Illinois and the north half of Lot 10, previously known as 820 La Harpe Street, La Salle, Illinois, all part of Block 27 in the Original Town, within the City of La Salle, La Salle County, Illinois, presently zoned R-3-Two Family Residence, with said rezoning requests to be changed from R-3, Two Family Residence, to C-3, Central Business for the purpose amongst other things of establishing consistent zoning for the properties with potential future construction of an employee parking lot and related uses, which premises are more particularly described as follows:

Lot 9 (PIN # 18-15-215-009) and Lot 10, (south half, PIN #18-15-215-015 and north half being a portion of PIN # 18-15-215-021) in Block 27 in the Original Town, now City of La Salle, La Salle County, Illinois.

That in connection with these proceedings and the public hearings in connection therewith, the City of LaSalle Planning Commission may take such action and make such findings and recommendations as the La Salle Planning Commission of the City of LaSalle may deem appropriate in the circumstances for recommendation and/or consideration thereof by the City Council in the appropriate exercise and discretion of the Planning Commission of the City of LaSalle, including making recommendations in connection with any modification to any of said requests as the Planning Commission may deem appropriate in the circumstances, all of which may be subject to and contingent upon such further covenants, terms, provisions and restrictions as the Planning Commission of the City of LaSalle may deem appropriate in the circumstances at the time of said Planning Commission hearing and/or any continuance and/or reconvening of the same, all of which will be held pursuant to and consistent with the law in such cases including, but not being limited to, all parties being provided an opportunity to be heard and to examine and cross-examine all pertinent witnesses.
