The data shows that three men and two women were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for drug crimes was 36. The youngest parolee was a 33-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 41-year-old man sentenced in 2017.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Sara E. Cushman-Cruz. She was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2014 when she was 30 years old. She is now 35.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
