Q4 2018 Recap: Parolees in La Salle County convicted of sex crimes

There were two offenders convicted of sex crimes released on parole in La Salle County during the fourth quarter of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Illinois Valley Times.

The data shows that a man and a woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for sex crimes was 41. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old woman sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 61-year-old man sentenced in 2013.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Bradly D. Boaz. He was convicted in 2013 when he was 54 years old. He is now 61.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
