City of Princeton City Council met June 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Quiram, Upon roll call, the following answered present, constituting a quorum: Council Members Ray Swanson, Ray Mabry, Hector Gomez, and Jerry Neumann. All present at the meeting offered the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

Mayor Quiram called to order at 7:01 p.m., a Public Hearing as required by the Bond Issue Notification Act, and was held at the Council Chambers of the City of Princeton, Bureau County, Illinois (the "City'), 2 Main Street S., Princeton, Illinois regarding a plan to issue not to exceed $2,800,000 in aggregate principal amount of the City's Taxable Genera Bonds (Alternate Revenue Source), Series 2019B (the "Series 2019B%) and not to exceed $400,000 General Obligation Bonds (Alternate Revenue Source), Series 2019C (the “Series 2019C and together with the Series 2019B, collectively, the "Bonds"). After opportunity for public comment, Mayor Quiram concluded the Public Hearing at 7:05 p.m. Please see the attached Public Bond Hearing Meeting Minutes, attached hereto and made a part hereof.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

MOTION # 1: Neumann (2nd Swanson) that the printed copy of the minutes for the Regular Meeting of May 20, 2019, be approved.

VOTE #1

ROLL CALL VOTE: Council Members Swanson, Mabry, Gomez, Neumann, and Mayor Quiram voted Aye. Motion declared carried.

MOTION #2: Neumann (2nd Swanson) that the bills and payrolls of the Department of Public Affairs and Department of Accounts and Finance, the Department of Streets and Public Improvements, the Department of Public Health and Safety, and the Department of Utilities and Public Properties, be allowed and paid.

ROLL CALL VOTE: Council Members Swanson, Mabry, Gomez, Neumann, and Mayor Quiram voted Aye. Motion declared carried.

MOTION #3: Neumann (2nd Swanson) that Ordinance 0-19-009 Amending the Liquor Code, be approved.

ROLL CALL VOTE: Council Members Swanson, Mabry, Neumann, and Mayor Quiram voted Aye. Gomez voted Nay. Motion declared carried.

MOTION # 4: Neumann (2nd Swanson) that Ordinance 0-19-010 amending the Sewer Code be approved to the Second Reading,

ROLL CALL VOTE: Council Members Swanson, Mabry, Gomez, Neumann, and Mayor Quiram voted Aye. Motion declared carried.

CITY MANAGER REPORT: None.

MAYOR REPORT: Mayor Quiram sought a Motion for board re-appointments.

MOTION # 5: Neumann (2nd Swanson) that both Jan English and Drew Russell be re appointed to the Princeton Public Library Board of Trustees, each for 3-yr. terms ending on 6 30-2022.

ROLL CALL VOTE: Council Members Swanson, Mabry, Gomez, Neumann, and Mayor Quiram voted Aye. Motion declared carried.

OLD BUSINESS: None.

NEW BUSINESS: None.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

MOTION #6: Neumann (2nd Swanson) that the Regular Meeting be adjourned. Convene in

Executive Session under 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) to discuss litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal. The next Regular Meeting of the City Council will be on Monday, June 17, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

ROLL CALL VOTE: Council Members Swanson, Mabry, Gomez, Neumann, and Mayor Quiram voted Aye. Motion declared carried. Adjournment at 7:12 p.m.
