LaSalle Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee met July 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Bacidore called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

Present- Alderman Bacidore, Alderman Ptak, Alderman Reynolds, Alderman Herndon

Absent- None

Others Present: Carol Day

A quorum was present.

In regard to the request to designate the alley east of St. Vincent Avenue between Grant and Lincoln as one way south, Carol Day, resident of 1883 Hennepin Street, stated that she was opposed to the change. Alderman Bacidore stated that he notified all residents who would be affected by this change and did not hear from anyone except Ms. Day. After brief discussion, the committee voted unanimously to deny the request to designate the alley as one way south.

In regard to the request to designate the east side of Crosat Street between 7th and 8th Streets as No Parking, the committee voted unanimously to approve the request.

In regard to the request to install a handicap parking sign on the west side of Tonti Street near the east entrance to St. Hyacinth’s Church, the committee voted unanimously in favor to approve the request.

There were no comments or objections from the public.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:21 p.m.
