City of Lasalle Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch Fire & EMS Committee met May 20.

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Oglesby Fire & Ambulance Department, 500 S Columbia Ave, Oglesby, IL 61348. Fire Committee Chairman Andy Bacidore called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Voting & Quorum Members Present:
LaSalle Fire Chief Andy Bacidore, Oglesby Fire Chief Ron Poperulla, Oglesby Ambulance Director Cathie Edens and Peru Ambulance Director Brent Hansen Not Present: Peru Fire Chief Jeff King and Mendota Fire Chief Dennis Rutishauser
Non-voting Members present:
EMS Director Jessica Ramey and Utica Fire Chief Ben Brown, PSAP Manager JoEllen Fisher
MINUTES
Committee Chairman presented the minutes of the IVRD Fire & EMS Committee meeting of 4/30/2019. Ron Poperulla made a motion that the minutes be received and placed on file. Andy Bacidore seconded the motion. All in favor; motion carried.
PUBLIC FORUM (Citizen Comment) None
COMMUNICATIONS
*****Due to LaSalle Fire Chief Andy Bacidore becoming the IVRD Board Chairman, Oglesby Fire Chief Ron Poperulla has been appointed to the position of fire committee chairman*****
OPERATIONAL DISCUSSION:
RADIO COMMUNICATIONS
1) Discuss options of having a one page channel for fire communications. Jim from SRC has made test paging to check reception at different locations. Jim will come back with pricing for different options to make this possible.
2) MABAS – SRC advised JoEllen they have all the equipment and are in hopes of having MABAS connected via the fiber from Mendota very soon.
PSAP Manager Report
1) Sent 4 (TC’s) to the MABAS training in New Lennox May 10, 2019. This was a full day of training which was very in depth. JoEllen is in hopes of getting the other shift placed in training in the near future.
2) Auto Aid Groups-have been added into the CAD which will assigned multiple agencies to the CAD at the same time also send an IAR message to all departments responding.
3) Mile Markers have been changed to reflect Peru & LaSalle covering west of MM78 also LaSalle & Utica covering east of MM78.
NEXT MEETING
It was discussed having bi-monthly fire committee meetings.

Ron Popurella made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Andy Bacidore seconded the motion. All in favor; motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
