City of Lasalle Zoning Board of Appeals met Oct. 7.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

Notice is hereby provided that the LaSalle Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., in the LaSalle City Council Chambers at 745 Second Street, LaSalle, Illinois 61301. At that time, the LaSalle Zoning Board of Appeals will consider amongst other matters that may be presented at the time of said hearing and meeting, the following petition and request and matters related thereto:

Marcus Brainerd Regan, owner of 431 Lindberg Road, requesting variances and/or exceptions from the provisions of the City of LaSalle Zoning Ordinance originally enacted as Ordinance Number 590 as the said Ordinance may have from time to time been amended, and in that regard said request for variance shall be regarding construction and use of a 20’ x 19.5’ accessory building (garage) which would include, but not necessarily be limited to, a rear yard setback variance from 25 feet to 5 feet to allow the structure to be constructed at the subject premises, and further involving such other variances and/or exceptions as may be reasonable, necessary and appropriate in reference to the construction of an accessory building (garage) on premises commonly known as 431 Lindberg Road within the City of LaSalle, which premises are more particularly described as follows:

That part of Lot 3 in Assessor’s Subdivision of the Southwest 1⁄4 of Section 10 in Township 33 North, Range 1, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:

Commencing at a point 720 feet North and 1210 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Quarter Section; thence running North parallel with the East line of said Quarter Section 125 feet; thence running West parallel with the North line of said Quarter Section to the center of the Old Cut, a distance of 75 and a fraction feet; thence running in a southerly direction along the center of said Old Cut to a point Seven Hundred Twenty feet North of the south boundary line of said Quarter Section; thence running east parallel with the north boundary line of said Quarter Section 63 feet , more or less to the beginning, as per plat thereof dated March 18, 1870 and recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of La Salle County, in Book B-1 of Plats, page 12 (said above premises being the South 125 feet of what is to be known when plated as Lot D-1 except the East 100 feet thereof situated in the City of La Salle),excepting and reserving underlying coal and mining rights; situated in the County of La Salle and the State [of Illinois] having the real estate PIN # of 18-10-329-020.

That in connection with these proceedings and the public hearings in connection therewith, the City of LaSalle Zoning Board of Appeals (hereinafter “Zoning Board”) may in the appropriate exercise of discretion take such action and make such recommendations for consideration thereof by the LaSalle City Council, including, but not limited to, making such recommendations in connection with any modification to any of said requests as the Zoning Board may deem appropriate in the circumstances, and all of which may also be subject to and contingent upon such further covenants, terms, provisions and restrictions as the Zoning Board may deem appropriate in the consideration of said Zoning Board hearing and/or any continuance and/or reconvening of the same, all of which will be held pursuant to and consistent with the law in such cases including, but not being limited to, all parties being provided an opportunity to be heard and to examine and cross-examine all pertinent witnesses.
