CITY OF PRINCETON: Halloween Trick-or-Treat and Safety Tips

City of Princeton issued the following announcement on Oct. 8.

Children under the age of 12 need to be supervised by an adult.

Parents are also encouraged to accompany children over age of 12 or know their route and companions.

HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS

• Wear light-colored clothing that is

short enough to prevent tripping

and add reflective material.

• Make sure your children can clearly see through their facemasks.

• Go out in the daylight.

• Carry a flashlight.

• Watch for traffic.

• Only give or accept wrapped or packaged candy.

• Examine your child’s candy before allowing them to eat it.

FOR YOUR SAFETY, PLEASE ONLY VISIT HOUSES WITH LIGHTS ON.

 Can’t participate? Make sure to keep your front house lights off until after 8 p.m.

or post a note on your door that your house is not participaint in trick-or-treating.

Have a safe and enjoyable night! Children under the age of 12 need to be supervised by an adult.

If you should discover anything suspicious throughout the evening or wrong with your treats CALL THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY so that

other persons can be warned and the responsible person arrested.
