A regular meeting of the La Salle City Council of La Salle, Illinois was held Monday, October 7, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. with Tom Ptak presiding as Mayor Pro-Tem with proper notice being duly and continuously posted.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Moved by Alderman Lavieri and seconded by Alderman Herndon to appoint Tom Ptak as Mayor Pro-Tem in the absence of Mayor Grove for the remainder of the meeting.

Moved by Alderman Reynolds and seconded by Alderman Crane to grant the request from Jennifer Antkowiak on behalf of the Illinois Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra to hold a Tag Day Collection on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the intersection of 11th and Bucklin and at La Salle businesses. Moved by Alderman Lavieri and seconded by Alderman Herndon to accept the recommendation of the Finance Committee and grant the request from Kevin Sweirkogz on behalf of the La Salle VFW Post 4668 for a Redevelopment Incentive Program Grant totaling $1,674.50 for premises located at 2325 Donahue Street. Attorney McPhedran noted that there were no comments from the public and no objectors present. The Zoning Board voted unanimously to approve the request.
Moved by Alderman Demes and seconded by Alderman Lavieri to accept the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding the request and petition of Marcus Regan for a rear yard setback variance from 25’ to 5’ for premises commonly known as 431 Lindberg Road. STANDING COMMITTEES
Alderman Bacidore reported that the Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee met again to discuss the request from Lindsey Catallenello, resident of 1545 N. Joliet Street for a “No Parking” Zone at the intersection of N. Joliet Street and Walnut Street. Alderman Crane followed up with the residents involved and it appears the issue has resolved. At this time, no action will be taken.

Moved by Alderman Herndon and seconded by Alderman Reynolds to authorize, pay and place on file Pay Estimate #3 and Final to Cruz Concrete Inc. totaling $54,330.40 for the 2019 Sidewalk Improvement Project. Each and every alderman has a copy.
