CITY OF LASALLE: Officer Santa’s Work Shop Begin To Load His Sleigh

Bikekids

City of Lasalle issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.

Officer Santa’s work shop is very busy as his fellow officers and elves begin to load his sleigh. As the sleigh is loaded, we would like to thank a few of our donors. First we would like to thank William “Bill” Pryde of LaSalle Body and Fender and former LaSalle alderman Mark Schneider for each donating several bicycles. Next, we would like to thank Ron Witek of Batteries and Things for donating a large amount of batteries for the second year in a row. Thirdly, we would like to thank the management team from LaSalle Dollar General for organizing a toy drive to benefit our program and for donating a large amount of candy canes. And last but not least, we would like to thank Rachelle May from the Ottawa Chapter of the Salvation Army for partnering with the Officer Santa program and donating MANY toys. For the third year in a row, because of the Salvation Army, we will be able to provide many additional children with a Christmas experience and positive interaction with our officers. Rumor has it that Officer Santa had to obtain an additional sled this year to hold all of his gifts.
