Streator Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.
Nominations for Streator Businesses and Individuals of the Year recognition. Suggested categories are: Financial, Manufacturing/Industrial, Professional Business, Restaurant/Entertainment, Retail/Wholesale, Not for Profit, and Community Action, the Cephas Williams (Private Capital Investor of the Year) and the Maxine Wargo (Volunteer of the year). Submit your nominations now - deadline, Friday February 28th.
Outstanding Young Leaders By definition: a powerful person who initiates event and influences people. A business leader and those who have made great contributions and accomplishments. Let us recognize and honor 4 extraordinary individuals, living and working in the Streator area, who have proven track records in both business and community involvement. We are looking for individuals, who shine as innovators, dealmakers, influential leaders who excel in their respective companies and industries and show dynamic leadership in their communities
Winners will be recognized and rewarded at the Chamber of Commerce 108th Annual Awards banquet, Monday, March 16th at the Eastwood Golf Club - entertainment begins at 5:30, dinner 6:15 and awards presentations at 7:30.
