Illinois Valley Community Hospital issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.
Michelle Wright is a registered nurse for our Illinois Valley Hospice and she consistently demonstrates compassion, quality, and comfort care while uplifting patients and their families with her professional sense of humor writes Director of Hospice Trina Hamrick. Michelle has been on call several days in a row and works most weekends and continually provides exemplary care. Michelle recently handled all the patient concerns as well as assisting with the State survey. According to Lisa Casford, hospice spiritual director, Michelle frequently receives positive comments about her care. One family recently wrote, “Michelle allowed my Mother to die in peace keeping her comfortable.” Dawn Moutray, Director of Social Services, also nominated Michelle for her “outstanding skill as a hospice nurse while maintaining a positive attitude.” Michelle’s commitment to caring for our Hospice patients in our community is extraordinary.
