Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Grundy County?

There were 14 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Grundy County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Illinois Valley Times.

The data shows that 11 men and three women were released in Grundy County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 34. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jasmine M. Evans. She was convicted of a crime against a person in 2017 when she was 25 years old. She is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Grundy County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
