CITY OF OGLESBY: Order Of The Oglesby Mayor, Dominic Rivara, There Will Be A Reduction Of City of Oglesby Non-Essential Staff

Media

City of Oglesby issued the following announcement on March 20.

As per order of the Oglesby Mayor, Dominic Rivara, there will be a reduction of City of Oglesby non-essential staff. All employees will be paid and available for recall in the case of an emergency. While all of our employees are important and contribute greatly to our operations, we are taking these protective measures to aid in the safety of our employees and their families and prevent the spread of COVID-19 throughout our community.

The City Clerk's office will have limited hours. The hours (which are subject to change) will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

It is important that we do not panic and understand that there is an abundance of food and product available. There is enough for everyone so long as people only purchase what they need.

I would like to thank all the first responders, police, fire, EMT’s, hospital workers, and the workers that keep the aforementioned essential services running.

Again, I would like to thank all of our City employees for their hard work and dedication.

Please stay safe.
