Webp meet

City of LaSalle Streets, Alleys and Traffic Committee met Feb. 24.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Bacidore called the meeting to order at 6:09 p.m.

Present- Alderman Bacidore, Alderman Ptak, Alderman Reynolds, Alderman Lavieri, Alderman Jeppson, Alderman Crane, Alderman Herndon

Absent- None

Others Present: Alderman Demes, Petitioner Martin Cingle

A quorum was present.

In regard to the request from Martin Cingle owner of Lil’ MAD Café Gourmet Shop for a 15-minute parking sign at 728 First Street, Mr. Cingle stated that he has many deliveries and utilizes Door Dash, therefore would like a parking space designated for his delivery people for that purpose. Mr. Cingle stated that this would also be beneficial to Lock 16 as well as Country Financial.

Alderman Bacidore mentioned that there is a City parking lot adjacent to his store and wondered if that might provide a solution.

Alderman Ptak stated that the parking spaces on First Street are valuable, so he suggested making a 15 Minute Only Parking Sign that could be rolled out only during his hours of operation. Alderman Ptak suggested that the sign not have the name of his business on it, so that it could be utilized by others.

Mr. Cingle was open to this idea. Superintendent Jeff Bumgarner stated that he could make the sign and will deliver it to Mr. Cingle.

A vote was taken with all aldermen voting aye. The meeting was adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
